Recounts
Some recount requests come through Inventory Assistant instead of the #recount_requests Slack channel. These are used when a request covers a list of items. For requests posted in Slack, see Recount Requests.
Receiving a request
Section titled “Receiving a request”When a recount is requested, your store’s Slack account receives a direct message from Inventory Buddy with a link to respond.
Click the link to open the recount page.
The recount page
Section titled “The recount page”The recount page lists the items that need their counts verified, along with the current count of each item in your store. The current count is updated every 15 minutes, so it may not include very recent sales or transfers.
At the top of the page, you may see instructions that clarify the recount request. Read these before you start counting.
Counting on your phone
Section titled “Counting on your phone”There’s a QR code button in the top right of the page. Scan the code with your phone’s camera to open the response page on your phone, so you can enter counts while you walk the store.
Submitting your counts
Section titled “Submitting your counts”-
For each item on the list, find it in the store and count how many there are across the sales floor and the backstock. Enter that number.
-
If management should know anything about your counts, add it in the Notes field at the bottom of the page. Notes are optional.
-
Click Submit Counts.
-
You can now close the page.
Changing your counts later
Section titled “Changing your counts later”You can reopen the link at any time to adjust your counts if they need updating. Open the Slack message from Inventory Buddy and click the link again.
